KENWOOD NX-5000 SERIES
The NXDN radio interface can accommodate the very narrow bandwidth of 6.25 kHz using FDMA technology. Providing spectrum efficiency, wide coverage and virtually unlimited scalability, it enables nationwide expansion: Type-C TrunkingGen2 offers enhanced functionality, flexibility and performance, allowing up to 1,000 sites or 24 networks to be linked.
For simple conventional communications, using existing infrastructure, DMR is an excellent and cost-effective solution. It is energy efficient and offers longer battery life. And with 2-slot TDMA, it is possible to achieve 2 talk channels in a 12.5 kHz analogue bandwidth, doubling capacity. The NX-5000 Series supports conventional Tier II mode.

This digital protocol ensures interoperability between public safety agencies. The NX-5000 series is compatible with both Phase 1 (conventional and trunked) and Phase 2 (trunked).
